Can you believe it’s almost here? Does that make you feel excited?
In the busyness of the holiday season, it’s easy to find ourselves distracted from the reason we’re celebrating: the gift of Immanuel, “God with us.”
Advent is simply a season of expectant waiting and preparation
We do still have time to reflect on something truly awesome: the miracle of God choosing to enter the world in human form!
Take the time to open your heart to discover God’s intricate plan to save the world from sin and the promises fulfilled in the birth of His Son.
Wishing you and yours a blessed Christmas – filled with His joy and peace.

As we journey this season of Advent, it is our Savior’s light that is shining in our hearts. This light is for all nations. How sad it is to see many nations sinking into darkness.
Let us pray for all the world – that people will be drawn to His light of love and peace. Enable all Christians to rise and shine – and draw many to the brightness our Lord.
That one Light.

First Sunday of Advent
We often find ourselves overwhelmed during the busy Christmas season. We spend endless hours shopping and baking and decorating. There are choir concerts and special worship services to attend. We invite guests into our homes. Do we have to say “yes” to everything and everyone?
Well, yes, we must say “yes” to at least one invitation – that one invitation from our Lord, the Child of Bethlehem.
He quietly asks to trust his Word and his promises – so that through faith in his name, we will bear the fruit of love and service that brings glory to the Heavenly Father.
So, even in this very busy and exciting season, we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to say “yes” and reflect his love in our lives each day.
Enjoy this Season of Waiting!

Consider how giving thanks to God daily will positively impact our lives. When we pause to acknowledge His blessings, we can live in a state of spiritual peace.
I pray that this week will spark an attitude of gratitude in each of our hearts. Let us embrace God’s never-ending love, inexhaustible grace and always-accessible presence in our lives.
Have a blessed and thankful Thanksgiving.

The resurrection of Jesus has given each of us new life and renewed hope.
We ask for help to live as new people in pursuit of the Christian ideal.
Lord, grant us wisdom to know what we must do—-
the will to want to do it
the courage to undertake it
the perseverance to continue to do it
and the strength to complete it.
The great gift of Easter is hope – Christian hope which makes us have that confidence in God – in His ultimate triumph and in His goodness and love – which nothing can shake.
May your joy and hope and strength rise with the SON and the sun this morning!
HERE I AM
Sometimes we forget just how big God is. In fact, we even forget the truth that God is unfathomably big. We are short sighted and self-absorbed so often that we neglect a relationship with God – who is so amazing.
Have you ever felt the Holy Spirit tugging at your heart? Have you ever felt the nudging and leading of His hand? That voice that whispers, “Come be with me. Open my word, internalize its truth. I will transform you,” and then rolled over and went back to sleep? Or, decided to keep watching your favorite TV show instead? If so, then think on this simple analogy: a powerful politician or leader of a national societal issue asks to meet with you to discuss a current topic. Wow! The publicity – the notoriety – the fame! Would you accept the invitation? Would you go?
Many of us would answer yes. We would quickly respond to the call of someone so powerful and important. I’m sure by now you understand where this is headed — but there is none more important, more powerful, or more worthy of our time than God! Yet so many times we turn to things so unimportant by comparison, and ignore the very God who made and saved us. When God calls us, we should be as Samuel was, responding immediately, “Here I am!”
May you allow Jesus to lead you to edges of your comfort zone and give you a fresh vision for where He’s taking you.
May you put everything on the table and give Him permission to rearrange your life.
May you dare to open your hands, look up and breathe a prayer of thanks right in the midst of this uncertain time – knowing that He’s far kinder than you can fathom and far greater than you ever imagined.
Can you sense Jesus’ invitation to join Him on this adventure of faith? Will you trust Him?
Choose joy this day. God wants to do a deep and profound work in and through you!
Your security is found in HIM!
