Contacts lost/Interest lost/Need new contacts here
Alabama (Birmingham) -
Need new contacts here--Contact VP of Outreach
Alaska
(Anchorage) - Pastor
Bill Sistar is investigating this possibility.
If you know of any cursillistas in Anchorage, I’m sure he would love to
hear from you. sistar@netmeg.net
Or contact VP of Outreach.

Bahamas (Nassau)
- Strong interest in this area for Via de Cristo. Contact VP of Outreach.
 California (Mission Viejo )
- Although
in the same neighborhood as Lutheran Cursillo of Southern California, the
immense populations in Orange and Los Angeles counties should provide plenty of
support for two similar movements here. Vicki
Hill is in the process of determining support for the organization of a Via de
Cristo secretariat in Orange County. She has the enthusiasm, but needs some helpers to determine
future direction, planning, and the next steps to take.
Please contact Vicki; vickihill@cox.net.
Or contact VP of Outreach.
 California (San Diego ) –Tom
and Jeri Lowe (LCCM #15, fall of 1985) are the main contacts for San Diego.
But this area has been “put on hold” for two reasons.
Some illness in the family has slowed things down.
Also, they intend to send candidates to the new movement in Mission Viejo
if it begins, and then use these folks as additional leaders for a new movement
back in San Diego. They would still
very much like to hear from others who would like to get together for
discussions on this adventure. If
you live within a few miles of San Diego and would possibly like to help,
contact Tom and Jeri at jerienkeli@aol.com.
Or contact VP of Outreach.
California
(San Francisco/Yuba) - Very preliminary, but you never
know! A lady named Gwen Soberay is
the person with the vision of bringing Via de Cristo to the Bay area.
She has a couple of other names at this time, but could use more.
Contact her with your offer of help or provide her with names of
cursillistas you know who live in that part of California.
gsoberay@vmarch.com
Or contact VP of Outreach.
Connecticut
(Hartford) - I
had three main contacts here, but one has moved away.
Terri Pangretic and Pastor Bill Hodge
I believe are still wanting to bring VdC to Connecticut, but please contact VP
of outeach
for details or information. You could be getting in
on the "ground floor" of a new movement!
Florida
(East Coast) - Yes, it’s possible another
Via de Cristo could be formed on the populous Florida east coast.
More on this later.
Contact VP of Outreach.
Florida
(Panhandle) -
Ken and Theri Partlow will be familiar names to
those involved in Lighthouse VdC in New Smyrna Beach, FL.
They also helped out with our friends at Indian River VdC in Cocoa, FL.
Now, they are exploring the possibilities of a movement around the
Pensacola area. They are probably
going to rely on helpers from Lighthouse and Indian River for their first
weekends whenever they occur, but right now need some willing people in their
immediate area to help on forming a new secretariat.
You may contact the Partlow's at crnrstne@cox.net.
Or contact VP of Outreach.
 Georgia
(Savannah) - Many
of you from Georgia will recognize the name of Pastor Dave Hendrix. Pastor
Dave is desiring to have a Via de Cristo ministry in the Eastern part of
Georgia, and is interested in hearing from those who share the same interest.
Is the Lord calling you to help!? Please contact Pastor Dave at dph49@alltel.net
to discuss the possibilities. Or
contact VP of Outreach.
Hawaii
(Honolulu) - The original, main contacts
for the Aloha State have moved, so action on a Via de Cristo ministry here has
pretty much come to a halt. I need
new contacts to move forward again.
Contact VP of Outreach if you are aware of any people/opportunities
here.
Idaho
(Boise) -
Idaho is another state that does not have a VdC movement. Denise Barr has felt God calling her to this ministry, but as
yet she has few names as possible helpers.
There is a strong Emmaus movement in the area, and she's hoping for help
from some of that sector. How about
you? Can you help?
Contact Denise at denise_barr@countrywide.com.

Idaho (Coeur D' Alene/Bonner's Ferry/Spokane areas)
-
Pastor Norman Braatz
(nvbraatz@meadowork.com )
has a few interested people for this part of the country, and is
looking forward to eventually bringing Via de Cristo to Eastern Washington and
Western Idaho. Contact VP of Outreach for further detais.
Kentucky
(Lexington) -
Kentucky doesn't have a VdC presence, but I'm searching for someone to step
forward and fill that void, whether it’s in Lexington or elsewhere.
Contact VP of Outreach if you feel the Lord has laid it on your heart to investigate the
possibilities of Via de Cristo in Kentucky.
Maine (?)
- Contact VP of Outreach
if interested in knowing more about what is going on regarding Maine.
Massachusetts
(Boxford) -
Massachusetts is another state without a Via de Cristo movement.
Can you help change that? Please
VP of Outreach
for information.
Michigan (Lansing)
– There
was previously some interest in a VdC presence in Western Michigan, but
currently there is none. Interested
in this possibility? Contact
VP of Outreach for
details.
Mississippi (Brandon)
- Sincere interest in a new Via de Cristo in this part of Mississippi has been
expressed by Robbie Seward. He would love to hear from you if interested
in helping.
New Jersey (Lakewood )
- New Jersey doesn’t have a Via de Cristo presence yet, but there are
possibilities. Please contact John
Welch (jwelch3@optoline.net)
to discuss where you might fit in to new
beginnings of Via de Cristo. John
would love to hear from you!
 New
York (New York City/Long Island) - Dave and Cindy
Leverenz are the main contacts for a potential new startup in New York City, and
have been making slow but steady progress. (The Lord doesn't expect perfection
of us, but He does want progress!) The
Leverenzs' attended their weekends in Jacksonville, Florida, and then were
active in Tampa and later in Southern California.
Right now, we need your help in finding others who want to be involved in
a new startup. Please Contact Dave and Cindy at
leverenz@vzavenue.net.
North
Dakota (Fargo) - There has been interest expressed in
organizing a Via de Cristo movement in Fargo.
The main contact there is Nicole Foley, who is a northern representative
for Minnesota Via de Cristo. If you
live somewhere near Fargo, what can YOU do to contribute to forming a new
secretariat there!? Contact Nicole
(cfoley@rrv.net) for details.
Oregon
(Portland/Lebanon) - Live anywhere near Portland, Lebanon,
Central Point? Within a few miles
any direction? Would you like to
speak to someone else about starting up a new Via de Cristo ministry in these
areas? Let me know and I’ll put
you in touch with others who desire the same thing.
It only takes a spark…
    Tennessee (Franklin/Nashville) - Judy
Mowery is interested in getting a new Via de Cristo started in the Franklin
area. She will have support from Tennessee Via de Cristo (Knoxville), but
is still searching out those who want to help with this new secretariat.
She would LOVE to hear from you! Contact her at
bjmowery@comcast.net.
Virginia (Richmond)
- A Via de Cristo movement in Virginia is being considered.
I’ll have more later on this area.
West Virginia (Huntington)
- A Via de Cristo movement in
West Virginia is being considered.
I’ll have more later on this area.
 Wisconsin
(Minocqua) -
Dick and Pat Schlinsog are investigating the possibilities of a new secretariat
in this part of the country. For further information, contact Dick or Pat at
pdslinger@aol.com..
Outside
the country, we have received inquiries
from The Bahamas (mentioned above), Haiti, Puerto Rico, Uganda and Venezuela.
These are probably “down the road” quite a way, but continue to send
me names of folks in these areas (or any other parts of the world) so I can get
them in touch with each other to see if progress can be made.
