So you think it’s impossible do you? Let me ask you, what seems so impossible, but if you could would radically change your life? Let me ask you another question: What could possibly be so impossible for the God we serve? Yes, I know you think you and your problem are the exception. Trust me, I think the same. You and I always think our situation, our circumstance is the worst and no one on this entire planet has ever gone though what we’re going through. But you’re wrong!
Yea, I get it, you’re going through a storm right now. It might be a shortage of money to pay the bills or buy the medication. Maybe your spouse is acting weirder than normal and your kids are acting like they’ve never heard a word you’ve ever said while raising them. Maybe the people at work have been pushing your ticket and your about to lose it on somebody, but your circumstance isn’t impossible.
Yes, I know you’ve got pain and sickness in your body and it seems like you’ll never get well, you’ll never get back to the way you used to be. But remember that woman who had a bleeding disorder. She to tried everything and everybody let her down and left her alone, broke, and still ailing, until she went to Jesus. She reached out and touched Him. He said…
“Daughter, take courage; you faith has made you well.” Matthew 9:22
Yes, I know you’ve got a relationship that has been strained and stretched and it seems like it won’t be repaired… can’t be repaired, and it seems like it won’t ever be because no words have been spoken… time has stood still… or you’ve been too afraid to face it. I know you’re familiar with these words, but read them again. This time very slowly and deliberately…
“Love is patient, love is kind, and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails…” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a
Yes, I know you’ve been praying (or probably compraining!) and you feel like God isn’t answering! But you have to believe this…
“For nothing will be impossible with God.” Luke 1:37
That marriage, it can be manageable if it matters. That job, it’ll be justified if you take the journey. That sickness, only a season if you don’t let it stay; speak it away. That hopelessness and hurt you feel, it can’t hinder you if you don’t hold on to it.
Here’s my word of encouragement for you today: The things you’re praying for aren’t impossible to God because when you see the impossible, God’s sees the infinite possibilities. When you see the impossible, God sees the inheritance with your name on it. When you see the impossible, God sees an invitation. When you see the impossible, God sees the Holy Spirit interceding. When you see the impossible, God is saying, “just imagine!”
Open my eyes today to see what You see. In Jesus name I ask this, Amen.
